CNC OPERATOR – MILLWORK

Our ideal candidate(s) will have recent or previous experience in a millwork production facility as well as have an optimistic outlook towards growth and want to be part of a constantly advancing company. This is a full-time position from Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-3:30PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating CNC machines to produce custom architectural millwork and cabinet components
  • CNC Programming (2D and 3D)
  • Selecting, preparing and using tooling for CNC machining of solid wood or wood-based materials in the production of custom millwork
  • Following provided production schedules and working with supplied documentation to ensure smooth and efficient flow of materials to and from the machining centre
  • Usage of material handling equipment including vacuum lifts and lift tables
  • Maintenance of CNC equipment to ensure safe and efficient long-term performance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience
  • Great attitude and willingness to always learn and grow
  • Taking on all challenges with passion, optimism, and a solution focused attitude
  • Recent production experience PROGRAMMING and OPERATING a CNC machining centre to produce wood products or components preferably within a millwork or cabinet manufacturing operation
  • Experience processing either solid wood or wood-based materials (such as plywood, MDF, particleboard)
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
  • Ability to maintain the safety of yourself and others at all times through best practices on the production floor and in the workplace in general

  • Working and collaboration with a highly skilled team to create high end architectural woodwork, wood cabinets and casework, reception desks, wood veneer wall paneling, feature walls, and custom furniture
  • Following provided production schedules and working with supplied documentation to ensure smooth and efficient flow of materials to and from the machining centre
  • Reading architectural drawings and millwork shop drawings
  • Usage of all large and small millwork related power tools such as table saws, routers, and hand tools
  • Usage of material handling equipment including vacuum lifts and lift tables

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience processing either solid wood and wood-based materials (such as plywood, MDF, particleboard) in a cabinet shop, millwork shop or furniture manufacturing is essential.
  • Knowledge of and experience with related material handling equipment

LEAD HAND FINISHER

Responsibilities:

  • Operating spray machines to produce custom finishes for a variety of Architectural Millwork and cabinet components
  • Staining and lacquering of millwork veneer panels, doors and case goods
  • Handcrafting, multi-step spray and wipe stain applications
  • Selecting, preparing and using tooling for spray machining of solid wood or wood-based materials in the production of custom millwork
  • Develop, apply and monitor all technical details for both spray booth and finishing line production from materials selection, ordering and preparation to equipment settings, quality control and daily maintenance
  • Following provided production schedules and working with supplied documentation to ensure smooth and efficient flow of materials to and from the machining centre
  • Usage of material handling equipment including vacuum lifts and lift tables
  • Maintenance of spray finishing equipment to ensure safe and efficient long-term performance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience finishing solid wood and wood-based materials (such as plywood, MDF, particleboard) in a cabinet shop, millwork shop or furniture manufacturing is essential.
  • Knowledge of and experience with related material handling equipment
  • Taking on all challenges with passion, optimism, and a solution focused attitude
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
  • Ability to maintain the safety of yourself and others at all times through best practices on the production floor and in the workplace in general

  • Usage of all large and small millwork related power tools such as table saws, routers, and hand tools

 

Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in Architectural Woodworking facility (minimum 1 year)
  • Experience processing either solid wood or wood-based materials (such as plywood, MDF, particleboard)
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and/or a keen interest in learning
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain the safety of yourself and others at all times through best practices on the production floor and in the workplace in general
